Dear Parents,
Hello, my name is Kimberly McCann. I am 34 years old. I am the oldest of two sisters. I have always lived in Kanata and Ottawa area. I married in the summer of 2002 and we had our first daughter in September 2003. In July 2005 we had our second daughter. I enjoy doing variety of activities such as camping, nature walks, mini-put/bowling and hanging out with family and friends. Some of my skills include guiding/teaching children, English/French speaking, computer, works well with others, motivated and organized. Ever since I can remember I have loved taking care of children. I started by taking the babysitting course and then babysitting for friends of my parents. Once in high school I took a parenting class plus did a co-op placement in a grade 1-2 class. I then started caregiving before and after school as well as being a lunchtime monitor for a kindergarten class. Next I started my E.C.E taking one course by correspondence. I enjoyed it and continued taking E.C.E at nighttime while working as a nanny. It took me about 5 years to complete but I gained lots of hands on experience. I also have worked at an after school program then got a fulltime job at a daycare center. I opened up my own home daycare in November of 2001. I have experience with children of all ages. I have taken workshops to further my knowledge and plan to continue. Please do not hesitate in asking me questions or relating concerns to me. I’m interested in working with your family as your child develops.
