Curriculum
My program is based on teacher and child oriented activities and themes. Each week a new theme is chosen either by observation of the children’s interest or teacher directed theme. Every week the theme will include activities that enhance and develop the children’s knowledge in letters, numbers, shapes and colors. I have a parent board that includes a circle sheet, menu and sleep eat record. My set up includes a variety of areas to enhance the children’s social, language, cognitive and physical skills. The areas of development are dramatic, quiet, cognitive/fine motor, puzzles, co-operative, sand and water play, felt and magnet board, crafts and writing. I have also incorporated a school age program that promotes math, pre-reading and writing skills. Circle time and crafts are daily and based on the weekly theme. Circle time includes both English and French. Circle starts with a good morning song, weather, calendar, songs, activity, story and ends with a good bye song.For additional information see Daily Schedule
