Policies - Toilet Training

I encourage children to use the potty when they show signs of readiness. It also has to be team effort between the child, parents and caregiver. Everyone has to be willing and ready to start the process. I do not use pull-up diapers. When ready to potty train only underwear with plastic coverings will be used. These are to be supplied by the parents. All wet or soiled clothing will be rinsed out and put in a plastic bag to take home. Please replace any clothing sent home the next day. I reward every attempt with praise throughout the learning process, because I recognize that this can be a challenging skill for children to learn.
