1.  Five Little Fishies in the Sea

This is a felt activity with five fish and a shark

Five little fishes in the sea

teasing Mr. sharky

you can't catch me

you can't catch me

Well along came Mr. sharky (softly) as quiet as can be

He snapped! a fish up

right out of the sea.

Four little fishes in the sea

teasing Mr. sharky

you can't catch me

you can't catch me

Well along came Mr. sharky (softly) as quiet as can be

He snapped! a fish up

right out of the sea.

Three little fishes in the sea

teasing Mr. sharky

you can't catch me

you can't catch me

Well along came Mr. sharky (softly) as quiet as can be

He snapped! a fish up

right out of the sea.

Two little fishes in the sea

teasing Mr. sharky

you can't catch me

you can't catch me

Well along came Mr. sharky (softly) as quiet as can be

He snapped! a fish up

right out of the sea

One little fishy in the sea

teasing Mr. sharky

you can't catch me

you can't catch me

Well along came Mr. sharky (softly) as quiet as can be

He snapped! that fish up

right out of the sea

Now Mr. sharky is lonely can't you see.

Crafts

1. Rainbow Fish Craft

Cut out a pattern of a fish.  Add the fins, tail and an eye.  Decorate with tissue paper and tin foil.

2. Octopus

Cut out a circle.  This will be the body. Cut out eight strips.  These will be the legs.  Attach legs to body and add eyes.

3. Starfish

Cut a large starfish shape from white paper. Have kids paint shape with watercolors, then sprinkle coarse salt on top. Dry flat, brush off dried salt. Salt leaves beautiful marks on the paint. Add googly eyes.

4. Ocean Scene

I had all different colors of sea animals. I let glue them down as we talked about them. Then, we put blue saran wrap over the picture to make it look underwater!

5. Shiny Seahorse

A cutout of a seahorse put corn syrup on it and red and yellow tempera paint. Let the kids finger-paint. When dry they will look like a shiny seahorse.
